It's in what's called blinking-red-light-of-death mode which essentially means it is in current overload protection mode. I took extremely good care of this receiver. It was configured properly using the correct speakers/cabling for ohm rating, was never turned up above 40, it was never left on for long periods of time and there is zero dust accumulation within the unit. It sounded great while I had it and I'm extremely disappointed that after 5 months it spontaneously died.
