Onkyo HT-S6200 7.1-Channel Home Entertainment Receiver/Speaker Package with Dock for the iPod Features
Onkyo HT-S6200 7.1-Channel Home Entertainment Receiver/Speaker Package with Dock for the iPod Overviews Opting for the convenience of packaged home theater doesn’t mean you have to compromise on quality. With the new HT-S6200 receiver/speaker package, you get advanced A/V processing and amplification with the Onkyo stamp of reliability. The receiver’s four HDMI™ 1.3a inputs handle 1080p video as well as high-definition surround-sound codecs by DTS and Dolby. Compatibility with Dolby Pro Logic IIz gives you the option of incorporating front height channels into your home theater set-up. Meanwhile, onboard Audyssey equalization and volume technologies adapt the soundstage to the dimensions of your room and maintain clarity at different loudness levels. A proprietary Universal Port allows single-cable connection of the included Dock for the iPod or an optional Onkyo HD Radio™ tuner. Low-end frequencies are handled by a 290 W powered subwoofer, while seven finely matched surround-sound speakers ensure that, whatever playback component you hook up, the HT-S6200 will deliver a fully immersive home theater experience. Customer Review Best Customer Review : Great system - Highly recommended. I don't normally write reviews (no time), but I've decided to this time. As a bit of an audiophile, I've built my own systems in the past, buying high end speakers separately, and a high end receiver, and winging it. My last 00 system does not compare. If you buying the system to rock a house party, probably not for you, but if your looking for excellently balanced home theatre system - this is it. It sounds great, and the surround affects are very nice. Music sounds fantastic at low and moderate volumes. Easy to setup - the microphone and system auto-calibration is great, and the rest was pretty self explanatory. The Ipod dock is great, and you can drive the Ipod from the remote (although it would be nice if the Ipod display showed up on the TV screen, but alas - thats a dream). The one, albeit small thing I do not like is that the remote does not have a master shutoff to turn off the receiver, so you must push the "receiver" button then press "On/Standby" to power off. Sounds small, but since "receiver" is also the FM tuner, when you've been watching a movie, you often get blasted by the (much louder) FM radio sound when you press "receiver" turn it off if. Not to mention that you must press "Cbl/Sat" button when you turn back on to watch TV. Poorly planned, and annoying, but not a big deal. Customer Review 1 : this system is awesome - I. payne - harker heights, tx i just got this system. setup was a snap. onkyo really has something going here. i was overwhelmed by the quality of the crisp clear highs and the breathtaking lows of this system. the multichannel decoding is so real, it actually make me "look" around during movies thinking that someone else is in my house. sounds awesome to say the least. way to go onkyo. Customer Review 2 : My first good home theater system - Robert San Agustin - San Diego, ca Hookup was easy. HDMI in/outs are great. No more messing with a separate digital out. The HDMI cable for both audio and video. Perfect. No more having to worry about video pass through only. The PS3 is hooked up and the DVR is hooked up all via HDMI. No separate audio cable needed. 8 speakers! I haven't see a BluRay movie with 7.1 yet so I can't say how awesome it is. It's nice and loud when the volume needs to rise above the dogs barking in the house.. I don't have any complaints about this so far... |
